I believe the rituals of meals and teatime are enhanced by dishes in which one is aware of the hand of the maker. My work is functional and intended for every-day use.

I've been making pots since I spent a formative year at the Tuscarora Pottery School in 1977. After a hiatus I returned to pottery in the 1990s. Working with my husband, I designed a backyard studio behind our house in Berkeley. Recently we installed photovoltaic panels that generate enough electricity to offset all of my firings, as well as our domestic use. My pots are now "solar fired"!

The pots shown here are representative of my current work. If you're interested in a piece please contact me. Since every piece is hand made, color and size as well as subtle aspects of form will vary.
